Rock Exotica 2.6″ Omni-Block

The unique design of the Omni with a swivel top is equivalent to three pieces of hardware: the pulley, the swivel and the carabiner to connect them. The result is one compact tool that costs less than the three pieces of hardware it replaces.

  • Increased MBS of 80kN with 20kN WLL.
  • Install and remove rope while still
    connected to the anchor.
  • Sideplate locks with two-stage,
    double-catch safety mechanism.
  • Integrated swivel allows pulley
    to orient while reducing gain.
  • Connect, install and remove
    rope with one hand.
  • CNC machined for optimal
    weight & strength.

Description

The Omni pulleys – along with several popular Rock Exotica products, share a common purpose: making rigging shorter. By way of a design that combines a pulley and swivel together without the need of a carabiner, the Omni pulley greatly shortens the length of rigging, or “headspace” required for an equivalent configuration.

Whether it’s indoor rigging that’s limited to widths and heights of walls and ceilings, or the valuable working area underneath the head of an artificial high directional, the Omni helps maximize this precious working space.

The Omni’s ability to remain connected to the anchor while opening the sideplates allows the technician to install and remove lines from the pulley – in some cases with a single hand, simplifying a process that can otherwise lead to dropped equipment, fatigue, and attention taken away from job safety.

To open the Omni sideplate, the user pushes the button and rotates the sideplate. A safety catch stops the sideplate from rotating completely open until the button is pushed a second time. The sideplate is easily closed by squeezing the sideplate into the body of the pulley. Two loud clicks are heard as the sideplate pushes past the button to close securely against the body of the pulley.
