Handling the sleek-machined aluminum chassis with the external release triggers got us thinking: the steel double-cams reduce the effort needed to slide this up the rope so much, the MultiAscend could do double (or triple) duty as a hand ascender or a progress capture device on a safety line.
There are two release triggers designed to make downclimbing easier too. Two fingers are all it takes to disengage the two cams.They stay outside—no sticking them inside where they can get caught. All the while the unit stays fully enclosed around the line. MultiAscend = safe and efficient.
