Training

T’NT OFFERS EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRAINING WITH OUR TEAM OF EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS, CONSISTING OF CURRENT AND FORMER TACTICAL, MILITARY, FIRE, AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL RESCUE TECHNICIANS.

Tactical Rope Training

T’NT has grown into Canada’s largest supplier of Tactical Rope Program hardware and training. With three current and former Tactical Unit members on staff alongside a former CANSOF member, we have the experience and expertise to back up our product knowledge.

Master the art of Tactical Rope operations through our progressive three-level training pathway. Begin with TRB (Tactical Rope – Basic) to build essential rope handling and safety fundamentals, advance to TRO (Tactical Rope – Operator) to develop operational proficiency, and reach TRI (Tactical Rope – Instructor) to lead and teach with confidence. For those seeking specialized capabilities, our focused workshops—TSC (Tactical Structure Climbing) and THD (Tactical High Directionals), launching spring of 2026—deliver advanced techniques for complex environments and technical rigging challenges.

Rope Rescue Training

Our rescue courses are designed for Rescue Enthusiasts, Volunteers, and Professionals and Emergency Response Team members who face unique challenges and limitations. We understand teams and members are often limited with their time on rope, yet they are keen to take their personal skills and knowledge to the next level.

T’NT has two templated rescue courses in place: NFPA Rope Rescue Awareness/Operations and NFPA Rope Rescue Technician. The Awareness/Operations course takes participants from tying knots to performing basic slope and high angle rescues. The Technician course builds upon those skills and gives participants the confidence to manage patients around obstacles and face difficult edge transitions. To ensure consistency and proficiency amongst all team members, the course curriculum uses the NFPA 1006 standard for training Job Performance Requirements.

In addition to our template courses, T’NT also offers specialty workshops, tailored consulting, and bespoke courses for customers interested in hosting a course. TNT’s instructor cadre has decades of experience in multiple rescue disciplines, including Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Tower Rescue, and Tactical/Rappel Master Programs. Our instructors are required to attend regular professional development with the priority placed on improving instructional techniques and expanding their knowledge and skillset. Using that experience, we’ve created specialty workshops that target rescue technicians looking to become more versatile and informed while using rope for access and rescue.

With current and former fire, police, and military members on staff, we also offer consulting services for teams that have existing programs but could use some constructive feedback and guidance.

CMC Authorized Courses

CMC and T’NT have formed a strong, trusted relationship after working together for over 10 years. T’NT Work & Rescue is proud to be CMC’s only North American Authorized Training Partner. These courses are delivered by T’NT instructors here in Canada, but they follow the prescribed CMC curriculum. Approved instructors train alongside CMC instructors and are vetted by their instructor cadre before being permitted to deliver a CMC program. These worksops are recognized as CMC courses and participants receive CMC certificates, with their training hours recorded in CMC’s system.
