Tactical Courses

T’NT has grown into Canada’s largest supplier of Tactical Rope Program hardware and training. With three current and former Tactical Unit members on staff alongside a former CANSOF member, we have the experience and expertise to back up our product knowledge.

Tactical Rope Basic (TRB)

The TRB course is for members with minimal rope experience, such as new tactical team members or TEMS medics. Participants may have completed their in-house BTOC training, or introductory in-house training, and are now ready to be introduced to rope rigging, access, and rescue fundamentals. TRB trains a new operator to become proficient with basic skills and rigging techniques

Tactical Rope Operator (TRo)

The TRO course is designed for tactical team members with limited tactical rope experience, and it focuses on building core skills and competencies. Intermediate members on experienced teams will progressively learn rigging principles and establish good habits and best practices. Members will be proficient in building anchors, constructing systems, and rappelling alongside team members. Upon successful completion of this course, TRO members will be capable of successfully building rope systems and deploying their team in a high angle environment.

Tactical Rope Instructor (TRI)

Our TRI course is the pinnacle of the Tactical Rope training pathway, designed for experienced operators ready to lead, teach, and manage complex rope operations. This course develops advanced rigging, problem-solving, and operational leadership skills while focusing on how to effectively instruct, supervise, and ensure safety in high-risk environments. Participants refine their technical systems, learn proven teaching methodologies, and gain the confidence to plan and deliver Tactical Rope training while overseeing real-world operations with professionalism and precision.

Tactical Structure ClimbinG (TSC)

The Tactical Structure Climbing course is specifically designed for Tactical Unit members who require advanced climbing skills for urban and structural environments. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical training to ensure members ae prepared for a variety of high-risk scenarios.
